Customer Account Specialist

Position Summary:

The Customer Account Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining a service- oriented relationship with external and internal customers. The CAS is committed to exceeding customer expectations by maintaining strong, timely and effective communication with internal departments as well as to the customer.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Key point of contact for customers and internal departments
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and communicate directly with customers and outside sales representatives either by telephone, electronically or face to face
  • Develop a working relationship with clients.
  • Coordinate and resolve customer complaints by directing requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource.
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure all customer requests are responded to in a timely manner. This also applies to internal requests.
  • Provide customers with updates on shipments, delays, etc.
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries
  • Provide pricing and delivery information
  • Continually train on and understand the principles of flexographic printing, corrugated packaging and food safety.
  • Process critical customer activities including order entry
  • Invoice and order issue resolution
  • Organize workflow to meet customer time frames
  • Accurate data entry in HRMS system
  • Process design requests
  • Request pricing from vendors
  • Receive and process customer purchase orders
  • Prepare and distribute customer activity reports (ie, inventory, sales reports, updated pricing) as needed and/or requested
  • Support all sales persons assigned
  • Analyze job specifications and work with the prepress department for accurate machine routing information for quotations
  • Develop and prepare quotes, forward for review and approval, send to customers.
  • Maintain estimating data base.
  • Resolve questions, concerns, and issues regarding quotes with clients and/or sales representatives
  • Perform other similar duties as required by responsibility or necessity or as requested by supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:
5 Years of experience in a production/distribution customer service environment.
High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent.
Experience in printing industry and/or packaging a plus

Language Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills with ability to understand fractions and percentages.

Technical Skills: 
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail and acute problem- solving skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None needed.

• Excellent organization and prioritization skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast- paced environment
• Work well as a team as well as individually

Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.  Occasional reaching, pulling, pushing.  Ability to use office equipment including computers, photocopiers, fax machines, telephones etc.

Pay range: $20.00-$26.00/hr
